The goals of Speaking Palauan books are to help develop and enhance bilingual proficiency in listening, reading, speaking and writing skills in the vernacular.  It is our hope that more Palauan children will want to learn their native language with the help of Speaking Palauan books.

Producing literature for children in the vernacular is necessary for the promotion of their mother tongue, and for the safeguarding of their culture. 

Language and culture are the legacies which Speaking Palauan books wish to impart to the children today and the future generations of Palauan children to come.

Speaking Palauan books are written to provide opportunity and to create access for Palauan children born and raised outside of the country to learn Palauan.  

Each book will be a series of simple words and phrases, traditional color names, letters of alphabets, and many more.
