How to help your child become bilingual:

1. Let your child grow up learning two languages at the same time.

2. Use only one language at home. Your child can learn the second language when he starts school.

3. Give your child many chances to hear and practice both languages.  

4. Read to your child in both languages.

5. Don’t mix Palauan and English when speaking to your child.  Be consistent when speaking each language.
